Jerry Walker is committed to ensuring the 10th Congressional District has a vibrant strong economy with blue-collar jobs producing economic opportunities for everyone, especially in minority communities. As a supporter of the 2024 Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act, Jerry will fight hard for working and middle-class families to expand the child tax credit and place more money back in the pockets of residents. Jerry understands the importance of keeping taxes stable to keep residents in the 10th Congressional District. 

Jerry Walker is committed to ensuring residents of the 10th Congressional District feel safe. As a supporter of the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, Jerry believes in liberty and justice for all. Jerry will continue to support the Safer Neighborhoods Gun Buyback Act, which is a federal gun buyback program as he understands that illegal guns are a threat in our district, especially minority communities. Jerry will bring back the proper resources from Washington to ensure there is a positive relationship between law enforcement and residents. Jerry was also a big supporter of the Emmett Til Antilynching Act which now defines lynching as a federal hate crime.

Jerry Walker understands firsthand the importance of the impact on seniors in the district. His grandfather Pop Curry was a role model in the district and was a public servant. Jerry will fight to protect Social Security/Medicare, and lower costs of prescription drugs for our seniors. Jerry also fully supports legislation to increase the value of monthly Social Security benefits which will help seniors in the 10th Congressional District.

Jerry Walker believes housing is a human right. He is a supporter of the Build Back Better Act which contains over $150 billion to improve and expand access to affordable housing, including $25 billion for the construction of low income housing and $65 billion to repair and improve current housing. 

As the CEO of Team Walker, Jerry Walker has been providing educational opportunities for over 30 years to our youth. From Pre-K to Grammar School to High School and College, Jerry has been a role model for our youth in the 10th Congressional District. Jerry is committed to guaranteeing that early childhood education is available to urban communities and fully supports funding for public education. As a supporter of the Federal Financial Aid for students, Jerry will ensure college is affordable for our youth. As an alumni of Seton Hall University in Essex County, Jerry is a proud supporter of the university athletics and academics programs. Jerry will also fight hard to ensure the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) receives the proper funding to give our youth the tools and resources they need. As your Congressman, he will work with local, county, state and federal lawmakers to ensure our youth are ready for success.

Jerry Walker is committed to ensuring more jobs come to the 10th Congressional District. With Newark and Jersey City being two of the largest cities in the district, he will work with lawmakers to establish an inclusive board to monitor economic growth in the district. Jerry believes it's important to monitor companies and non-profits coming and leaving the 10th congressional district. For any company or non-profit wanting to leave the district, the goal of the board will be to find inclusive ways to keep the economic development opportunities in the district. As CEO of Team Walker, Jerry opened up the Walker Skills and Development Center which is already producing jobs within the district.
